I have been working as a science reporter since 2005. Based in Cologne the best part of my work is done for different regional and nationwide radio stations in Germany as well as in Switzerland and Austria.
My main interests focus on specific, individual stories, packed with details. But most of all I search for broader, complex connections. Giving insight into science and economy, politics and society is equally as important as reporting about excavations of human fossils, inventions in genetic labs or new technologies that help answer important questions regarding molecular biology, medicine and chemistry.
I was introduced to scientific matters during my studies of physical and social Anthropology, Geology and Paleontology at Mainz University. After graduation I received a fellowship for young scientists, which offered me the opportunity to step into science journalism.
Since then, I have travelled and visited scientists all over the world and continue reporting about their projects, ideas and problems.
